What we work on

Programs are tailored to each individual. Therapy may complement care from your dentist, orthodontist, ENT, SLP, or sleep specialist.

Nasal breathing & Buteyko techniques

Training for diaphragmatic, nasal breathing habits to support airway function.

Tongue posture & mobility

Optimal tongue resting position and mobility, including pre/post tongue‑tie release support.

Lip seal & mouth closure

Strengthening lips and cheeks to encourage consistent oral resting posture.

Eliminating oral habits

Plans to reduce thumb/finger sucking, cheek biting, and other oral habits.

Tongue‑thrust remediation

Exercise sequences designed to improve swallow mechanics and coordination.

Speech support

Orofacial strengthening that can complement speech‑language therapy (with referrals as needed).

Who may benefit?

Misaligned teeth, tongue thrusting, tongue‑tie concerns, mouth breathing, facial discomfort, speech problems, sleep‑disordered breathing, and bruxism/teeth grinding.

How it works

  1. Assessment. History, screening, and functional exam to identify priorities.
  2. Personalized plan. A progressive sequence of short, repeatable exercises.
  3. Coaching & accountability. Regular check‑ins (virtual or in‑person) to refine technique.
  4. Maintenance. Build lasting muscle memory and healthy oral‑facial habits.

What to expect

  • Short daily exercises (5–10 minutes, a few times per day)
  • Age‑appropriate guidance for kids and adults
  • Coordination with your dental/sleep/SLP team as needed

Frequently asked questions

Is your online program HIPAA‑compliant?

Yes — virtual care is provided through a HIPAA‑compliant teledentistry platform.

Can myofunctional therapy cure obstructive sleep apnea?

No. It is not a cure, but research shows it can reduce apnea‑hypopnea index (AHI) in some cases. Your sleep specialist can advise on comprehensive treatment.

What is the Buteyko breathing method?

A structured set of breathing techniques used as a complementary approach for some respiratory concerns. It does not replace medical care.
